Transfer Case Plug Repair

Transfer case drain or fill plug repair
This repair involves reaming out the plug hole and installing a metal threaded insert (much like other thread repairs). This gives good solid threads to hold the plug tight and eliminated loosening plugs and leaks.

Fill plug can be repaired in the vehicle but a for a cleaner install just the case half is needed. For the drain plug, the case has to be disassembled and the rear portion is all that is needed.
